• Pacific madrona

Pacific madrona treelings, two and three years old, potted in one-gallon pots.  Common in parts of southwestern Oregon, but difficult and often impossible to transplant after three to four years growing in the ground.  One of Oregon's few evergreen broadleaf trees.  Clusters of cream white bell-shaped flowers in March or April, followed by fresh set of leaves and new growth.  New growth pattern similar to that of rhododendrons.
