Aloe ferox, seedling plants two years of age.  These are a large, single stemmed species aloe found across a wide range of South Africa and also widely cultivated there.  Leaves are harvested sustainably for skin care and health products in countries in the south of the African continent.  A stately and eventually large plant.  In cooler PNW climates must be grown in containers, or in a green house setting where temperatures don't fall much below freezing.  At faster growth rate may fill a seven-gallon to ten-gallon size container in four to five years time.  Can also be kept smaller longer, by growing in smaller containers.
