tender perennial
Pacific Northwest (PNW) tender perennial, a non-native plant which is well-adapted to west coast spring, summer and early fall seasons, bus needs some protection to winter through our mild west coast frosts. May be grown as annuals by some gardeners, and alternately are sometimes kept going through years with some extra care, such as mulching, pulling into garage or greenhouse during frost or freezing periods.
